Welcome To Local 347

IBEW Local Union 347 is located at 6809 S.E. Bellagio Court, Ankeny and represents 2200 members throughout 28 counties in central Iowa. Our members are professionally trained and highly skilled electrical workers in construction, maintenance, broadcasting, and manufacturing.

Officers & Staff

In addition to the Business Manager, Officers of Local Union 347 are elected by our membership every three years. Officers include the President, Vice president, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, and six Executive Board members.

Jurisdiction

Local 347 covers 28 counties in central Iowa. There are eight additional Inside Construction Locals representing electrical workers in Iowa in as well as Outside Construction, Utility and Manufacturing Local Unions. Total IBEW membership in Iowa is nearing 10,000.

History

Local Union 347 was chartered on December 26, 1914. Enduring many challenges since that time, at over 2000 members we have grown to become stronger today than we have ever been.
